Authorities are the building blocks for policies and are responsible for performing authentication or authorization steps in the overall execution of policy workflows.
RA for Box comes pre-configured with the authorities for creating the user management policies for the system. Custom shared link policies can be created by first creating the authorities that would make up the custom policies.
